Industrial Lecture on ” Water Proofing and Leakage Detection” at IIT Madras
Deepak Kanitkar delivered an Industrial lecture for M.Tech. Students of Civil Engineering Faculty at IIT Madras on 5th October 2016. The session was conceptualized and arranged by Dr Radhakrishna Pillai, Assistant Professor, Dept of Civil Engg. (BTCM Division). The session covered the basics of water proofing
, introduction to ASTM C 836 and C 898, Use of Polymers, Crack Injection as well as various instrumentation options available for detecting source of the water leakages in concrete and masonry structures. Failures of water proofing systems and application related issues were also discussed.
